FONDA, NY – King Of Dirt Racing has recently made a grand announcement, revealing the list of drivers who have achieved awards through their thrilling tours in 2016. An impressive 18 drivers will be bestowed with honors among their peers, with Connor Cleveland (Sportsman) and Robbie Speed (Pro Stock) emerging as champions at the highly anticipated annual Night Of Champions banquet party on January 14th, held at the Winner’s Circle Restaurant in Fonda, New York.
A total of eight different Sportsman Modified drivers will have the privilege of sharing the 10 special awards up for grabs at this prestigious banquet. While King Of Dirt has disclosed the names of these accomplished drivers, the specific awards they have earned will remain a mystery until the big day of the banquet.
The Sportsman Modified special awards encompass crowning the champion, Connor Cleveland, and naming the prestigious Award Of Excellence winner. Other remarkable awards to be presented include newcomer of the year, outstanding performance, memorable moment, hard charger, most improved, lap leader, hard luck, top Bicknell warrior, 1st man out, and most popular driver.
The drivers who have been named to receive an award for the KOD Sportsman Modified Series are Connor Cleveland, Andrew Buff, Scott Duell, Michael Sabia, Adam Gage, Adam Pierson, Cody Hunt, and David Schilling.
Those who have been selected to receive an award for the KOD Pro Stock Series are Dean Charbonneau, Dan Older, Gus Hollner, Luke Horning, Chuck Dumblewski, Jason Casey, Byron Wescott, Robbie Speed, Daniel Sanchez, and Nick Stone.
Crowning the Pro Stock champion is naturally the top honor, but the award of excellence, newcomer of the year, outstanding performance, memorable moment, hard charger, most improved, lap leader, hard luck, 1st man out, and most popular driver awards will also be bestowed upon one of the fortunate drivers named.
“Honestly, our season concluded on September 24th, and it has taken this considerable time to determine the award winners. So many contenders were in the running, and each was deserving. Eventually, we had to narrow it down, and we’ve accomplished that. I believe everyone will be satisfied with how we bring our racing season to a close,” stated KOD Promoter Rob Hazer.
Last year, the King Of Dirt Racing Series filled the banquet hall at the Winner’s Circle Restaurant and anticipates doing the same this year. With limited space available, all attendees are urged to promptly purchase their tickets. Please send checks or money orders made out to King Of Dirt Racing along with a list of names in your party no later than January 2nd.
The KOD Night Of Champions Banquet Party is slated for January 14th at the Winner’s Circle Restaurant in Fonda, New York. It promises a night of dinner, dancing, enjoyment, and reunions to mark the conclusion of the 2016 season. The Night Of Champions event has been set for Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the Winner’s Circle Restaurant on Route 5 in Fonda, NY 12068. The Crate Sportsman Series and Pro Stock Series will be in the spotlight. Dinner commences at 6:30 PM, followed by the awards ceremony at 7:30 PM. Tickets are priced at $30 each and are due by January 2nd. Please RSVP with names along with payment. Everyone is invited to join the celebration! The evening offers dinner, awards, products, point funds, dancing, 50/50’s, prizes, and much more!
The ticket price includes a delicious dinner featuring roast beef, turkey, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, dinner salad, soup, dinner rolls, tea, and dessert.
