NEW EGYPT, NJ – After three consecutive rainouts, the management of New Egypt Speedway has made the decision to include the Crate Modifieds in this Saturday’s program. When Creston Hydraulics presents The Round of 24 of May Modified Madness for the 358 Modifieds, the Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars, Hammer Sportsman, and Lyons Construction/Metal Fab Rookie Sportsman will also be competing alongside the aforementioned Crate Modifieds.
“Our Crate Modified guys are eager to race, and we feel bad that the weather hasn’t been on their side so far this year. Therefore, we are giving them this opportunity to race,” said Joey Liquori of New Egypt Speedway.
This race will offer a full purse and will be NON POINTS.
New Egypt Speedway will be hosting an Open Practice tomorrow night, on Tuesday, May 9th, from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The pit gates will open at 2:30 PM, and the pit admission fee per person is $25. The pit gates will unlock at 3:00 PM on Saturday, and the spectator turnstiles will open at 4:00 PM. Hot laps will commence at 5:00 PM, and the racing will start at 6:00 PM. The admission fee for the grandstand is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors aged 65 and above, $10 for teens between 12 and 15 years old, $10 for military personnel and their spouses with ID, and kids 11 and under are free. The pit admission fee is $30 with a New Egypt Speedway license and $40 without a license.
New Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539, just a few minutes away from Six Flags Great Adventure and the New Jersey Turnpike. It is a racetrack with a 7/16-mile D-shaped dirt oval.
